Penne in crema di broccoli

If you don't like broccoli, try this simple recipe you might change your mind ;-)

Ingredients:
1 medium broccoli
1 onion
100g of creamy cheese
olive oil
nutmeg
salt

Wash and cut in big pieces the broccoli then place in a pot with salted boiling water.
While the broccoli cook, cut finely the onion and brown it in some olive oil. Stick a fork into the broccoli to check whether it is cooked. Once it's ready, take it out from the water with a perforated spoon (do not throw away the water) and blend it. Now pour the broccoli puree in the pan with the onion and stir for few minutes. Add some nutmeg, adjust with salt and add some creamy cheese. The sauce is ready!
Use the hot water where you have cooked the broccoli to cook the pasta. My suggestion is short shapes like penne, fusilli or farfalle but I have tried spaghetti as well and the result was very good.
Serve with some Parmigiano and Buon appetito!

Suggestion: you could add couple of anchovies as well. I would not blend them wih the broccoli though, I would cut them finely and add to the cream instead.
